The Nokia 3500 Classic is a member of the Nokia Classic range which includes other simple & stylish phones which come with a selection of different features. The Classic range includes the Nokia 3109 Classic, Nokia 3110 Classic, Nokia 6120 Classic, Nokia 6121 Classic & the Nokia 6500 Classic. The 3500 Classic comes in a classic bar design casing which is available in grey, pink, mandarin & blue coloured casing. The user can select the colour of their handset to suit their taste & personal choice. The handset is compact which only measures 107mm in height, 45mm in width & 13.1mm in depth. The Nokia 3500 Classic is a compact & slim handset which weighs 81 grams which is ideal for carrying purposes. The phone comes with a 1.8 Inch TFT colour screen which has a 128 x 160 pixel screen resolution. The 3500 Classic is a user friendly imaging feature focused handset which will make a fun companion for all users.
The user can capture all their friends & fun moments as a still photo or as a video recording using the built in 2 megapixel camera feature. The camera comes with an 8 x digital zoom which allows the user to get up close to their subject. The built in video capabilities allow the user to record, playback & stream video footage. The user can stream video in 3GPP format on the Nokia 3500 Classic. The phone comes with high colour animated wallpapers which can be changed by the user to suit the user’s style. The phone comes with a built in media player which allows the user to enjoy music & video playback when the user is on the move & needs entertainment. The user can download or transfer music files using the connectivity options available. The phone supports a variety of ringing tone formats which allow the user to create a unique feel to their 3500 Classic. The user can tune into the FM radio feature to catch up on the latest news, weather or to simply listen to their favourite music station.
The user can use their handset in Europe & the majority of the US as the phone works on a tri band network which covers GSM 900, 1800 & 1900. The 3500 Classic comes with EDGE technology which allows the user to experience high speed data transfer rates on their phone. The user can connect their mobile phone to other compatible devices include their home or office PC, laptop, headset & printer using either a mini USB cable connection or a Bluetooth™ technology connection which allows the user to gain a wireless connection between devices. The battery will provide approximately 280 hours of standby time or approximately 3 hours of talk time from a fully charged battery. The Nokia 3500 Classic comes with 32 Mbytes of Flash memory plus 16 Mbytes of RAM memory & the user can extend the memory further by adding a memory card if required.
The phone comes with a built in Internet browser which allows the user to enjoy a XHTML Internet experience. The user can communicate with others using one or more of the messaging services available on the phone. The services include an email service, MMS service, SMS service, instant messaging & audio messaging. The email service supports attachments, which allows the user to share file attachments with other email contacts easily. The MMS service is a multimedia messaging service which allows the user to send a photo or video recording complete with text input & sound to any MMS compatible contact. The SMS service is a text message service which allows the user to send & receive short or long text messages. The instant messaging service works like the user’s home or office PC’s instant messaging service apart from this instant messaging service is fully mobile. The user can chat to friends & colleagues that are online at the same time as the user which is a quick & easy way to communicate. The user can send audio messages via the MMS service which allows the user to share voice recordings with others easily. The user can store all their contacts details & numbers in the phone book which can hold up to two thousand contacts. The Nokia 3500 Classic comes with a built in organiser feature which comes complete with a calendar. The 3500 Classic is a simplistic & user friendly handset which will surprise its user with all the useful & fun built in features.

I bought this phone last week. I already have Nokia 3220 & 3230. Though 3230 is Smartphone with larger display, but 3500 classic is superb! It is slim & sleek, attractive & shiny. Every feature is handy & very useful, real companion for busy user. In the dark, its illuminated keypad is just beautiful! But its sound is very bad & low. It could have been better. As well as, its headset connector could have been standard 3.5 mm size. Anyway, at this price (Rs 6500 in India), this phone is a real gem & deserve the rating by Nokia as Classic is true! I advice, every small to medium budget purchaser will be proud enough to be owner of this fantastic phone!
