Had this phone for almost a month now. If you’re buying PAYG & you’re on Orange, do yourself a favour & get it from Carphone Warehouse rather than Orange themselves, then you won’t have to put up with having the beautiful handset design ruined by Orange’s stupid logo on the front. (the little blue Walkman logo is much cooler, & if you’re getting the grey & blue handset, really adds something to it).

Not had any issues with cracked keys by the way. From what I can tell, this issue is sorted in the latest batch of handsets.

Small keys & lack of camera flash are unfortunately.

First, I think the phone is great, but there have been a few problems. Within two weeks one of the buttons cracked, but I sent it in & they repaired it fairly quickly, also, now the camera doesn’t work, it freezes the phone when I turn it on, I am not sure why. Besides these problems it’s an awesome mobile phone anyway.

This is a great phone indeed! Sony have fixed the problems with the keypad & its problem free now. This phone has everything you need & the fitness feature is just brilliant, there is one bad point though. The camera is great but you cannot zoom in camera mode & you also do not have flash which is quite a downside for me. Overall it’s a great phone & it’s well worth its price, I recommend this to everyone!

Hi, I love the W580i! This phone is such an awesome phone, the camera is good quality but there is no flash. If the picture is to dark, put it on the computer & edit the brightness levels of the picture. It may not be the same as the flash but at least it’s better than a completely black picture. For those who are very worried about the keys cracking, don’t BE. Sony has fixed this problem, & the new & improved keys on the newly manufactured phones are fine. I reckon these phones should be in stores in very Early December! Ready for the Christmas rush. If you are stuck with a model with the faulty keys, just be more gently with the keypad & DO NOT DROP the PHONE. When you press the keys, press them gently & in the centre of the key pad. If you do this, you should be fine the music is at a very high quality! The shake control is handy to use. If I was texting someone & I wanted to change track, instead of going out of my text to go & navigate through the menu to get to the MP3 player to change it. All I would have to do is hold down the button & flick it with my wrist. It’s so easy to do & it saves a lot of time.

The phone battery will last you as long as you don’t expect too much from it. With any phone, listening to music will drain the phones battery. But if you keep the battery charged up, it will get into a healthy routine. Also if you put the backlight of the screen down it will save a lot of power! That way your battery will last you for ages! Overall the phone is great! Great sound, Great features & it’s such a hot phone! The down side is the keys are not the strongest but if you get used to using them in a gently way they won’t break. Well shouldn’t do. Don’t worry about the keys that much! You must be banging them pretty hard to crack them. Also the camera is the down side, no flash. But you can adapt to this, just make sure there is good light in the room! If not take the picture & adjust the brightness of the image by using a computer! So be gently on the keys & more aware that they are not the strongest as some phones & this phone will be your new best friend.

I have had this phone for exactly one week my buttons don’t appear to be cracking nor does the screen appear to be faulty but I have had one problem which has not been noted whilst reading peoples review the phone keeps telling me there is no sim in the phone when clearly there is. I haven’t dropped the phone & I have a protective casing on which should help in general placing the phone down. I am not happy that the phone has broken within a week I am going to see if I can get it repaired I should do seen as it is within 28 days but I have a feeling this may not be the case other than that the phone is very good & I would recommend ii if I hadn’t heard off the problems other people had been facing.
